Germotier: Game Design Document

This is my Game Design Document (GDD) which contains a vague target of what I want to achieve. I will also share all other information with you here. But all further explanations to Systems or Stats or whatever will go into the Wiki page on BitBucket. Which you will find in the menu above.


Platforms

I will mainly target Windows PCs. But I am probably not really restricted due to using Unity3D as my engine of choice and more platforms are possible later on.

Controls

My main Target will be a complete Mouse control. I will add shortcuts for Keyboard which will be an addition.
And at a later point I will add controller support.


Genre

3rd Person Single Player Real Time Strategy RPG.
This might be subject to change, since I initially was planning an MMO version of it… But I learned that I should think big but should take smaller steps. Therefore I will create the Single Player version first and then go to the MMO variant – if possible.


Thematic Setting

The setting will be a post-apocalyptic world which has pretty much recovered from the radiation. The people will now begin to emerge again to claim back the world which their ancestors destroyed.

Target Audience

My main target would be RPG players who like Real Time Strategy Games as its core mechanic and a harvesting + crafting system.
